"The situation has changed..." - Man Utd told asking price for key summer target
Frankfurt have set their asking price for Manchester United transfer target Randal Kolo Muani ahead of the summer window, according to a new report.
Kolo Muani has had an impressive season in the Bundesliga, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists in 26 league appearances.
The France international striker joined Frankfurt last summer from Ligue 1 side Nantes. At the beginning of the 2020/21 season, he was valued at just €300,000 (as per Transfermarkt), with his valuation now standing at a staggering €65 million.
It has certainly been a meteoric rise for the striker, capped off by his display in the World Cup final last year.
Picked as an injury replacement for Christopher Nkunku, Kolo Muani was expected to play little part in the competition. However, after scoring in a 13-minute cameo during the 4-0 win over Morocco in the semi-final, he replaced Ousmane Dembele after just 41 minutes in the showpiece event against Argentina.
With Argentina 2-0 up at that point, Kolo Muani played a vital role in helping his side claw their way back into the game and force extra time.
Then, in the last minute of extra time, his effort to potentially make the game 4-3 to France was saved brilliantly by Emiliano Martinez.
Despite that disappointment, however, Kolo Muani has continued his form into the second half of the season - and Manchester United and Bayern Munich are reportedly among those considering a summer move.

According to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg, Frankfurt have told Bayern that they will only accept a fee of 'at least €100 million' to sell one of their prized assets.
Taking to Twitter, Plettenberg claimed that Bayern had been informed that a fee of between €70-80 million would not be accepted for a player that has only emerged as a target for the German giants since new boss Thomas Tuchel was appointed.
He wrote: "Frankfurt bosses informed Bayern that €70-80m definitely won't be enough.
"Understand [Markus] Krosche [Frankfurt sporting director] wants at least €100m + bonuses. His contract situation [runs until 2027] is the big plus for Frankfurt.
"He was no topic under Nagelsmann. The situation has changed now."
With reported United top target Harry Kane said to be valued at one instalment of £100 million or more by Tottenham, as per The Times, Frankfurt's alleged demands mean manager Erik ten Hag will likely only be able to bring one of those two players to Old Trafford this summer.
