Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney gear up to fulfill 'monster' promise to Wrexham team after promotion

Last week, at the Racecourse Ground, the Red Dragons won 3-1 against Boreham Wood, which secured them the National League trophy and a spot in League Two for the next season.

Ahead of their final National League match against Torquay United on Saturday, Wrexham is currently leading by four points ahead of Notts County, who are in second place.

As reported by The Athletic, Reynolds and McElhenney are reportedly planning to fulfill their "monster" promise by organizing a promotion celebration in Las Vegas.

“There is a trip to Las Vegas being mooted,” Wrexham board advisor Shaun Harvey told the publication.

In an interview after Wrexham's significant 3-2 victory over Notts County earlier this month, Ben Foster disclosed that Reynolds and McElhenney had made a "big deal" promise if the Red Dragons were to achieve promotion.

When asked if Wrexham players had received a party from their owners, he told CBS Sports: “No, they didn’t!

“They’ve promised us a big deal, though, at the end of the season.

“They’ve promised us a monster one at the end of the season. If we get promoted, they’re gonna take us away somewhere with a lot of flashing lights.”

It is added that the Wrexham players will be sharing a significant bonus of £200,000, earned from their promotion, amongst themselves in addition to the potential Las Vegas trip.

Moreover, the newly crowned National League champions will be organizing an open-top bus parade next Tuesday to celebrate with their fans.
