Rafael Leao claims 'Ibrahimovic mocked my latest album'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is known for expressing his honest opinions, and when questioned about his teammate's music career, the AC Milan forward did not hold back.

Numerous listicles available online feature memorable quotes from Ibrahimovic throughout his career, highlighting his greatness.

Ibrahimovic's stint in Major League Soccer alone produced more memorable quotes than most people's entire careers.

Asked in 2019 about Carlos Vela being a better player than him, because the Mexican had scored more league goals, the Swede answered, "By far, because if he's in his prime. How old is he? Twenty-nine and he's playing in MLS and he's in his prime. When I was 29 [I was in Europe]. Big difference."

Vela wasn't the only person that Ibra had a run in whilst he lived in Los Angeles, with NBA king LeBron James also amongst the striker's targets.

When LeBron moved to the LA Lakers in 2018, the former PSG forward welcomed the Ohio native by saying, "Now LA has a God and a King!"

The 41-year-old also received a Lakers shirt from LeBron, but sent it back to the basketball star with his signature on it, the coldest move ever.

That animosity came after Ibrahimovic had previously told the American to 'stick to sports,' and now he's done that with AC teammate Rafael Leao.

The Portugal forward brought out an album in 2021, and now intends to bring out a second album later this year, something Ibra clearly didn't enjoy.

"Yes, they listened. Some laughed, but others supported me," Leao told Record, when asked if his teammates had listened to the new album.

"Who laughed? Zlatan Ibrahimovic laughed. He laughed and told me not to focus on the music instead of football. But the rest said to continue..."

Speaking about his music, the 23-year-old added, "In two or three songs I talk about myself and my life. Because I was a kid from the neighborhood, in a small town, with the dream of being a superstar.

"When I was growing up and struggling, I didn't believe that all this would happen."

Adding mention of wanting to help others with his studio, he added, "My manager, Leandro, created a label and I'm trying to find new artists to do something good, because there's a lot of musical talent in Portugal.

"But many artists can't access a studio because they don't have money."

Right now Leao can focus on trying to help AC Milan win the Champions League this season, but Ibrahimovic won't be getting a winner's medal, no matter what happens.
