Martin Odegaard caught signing Arsenal shirt for Declan Rice as transfer rumours swirl
Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard was caught signing a shirt for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice after their 2-2 draw at the London Stadium.
Arsenal took an early lead through Gabriel Jesus, before Odegaard tucked home a second goal inside 10 minutes.
An erratic challenge from Gabriel Magalhaes in the six-yard box then gifted Said Benrahma a penalty, which he converted with ease.
An uncomfortable afternoon for the Gunners ensued, as Bukayo Saka shanked his spot-kick wide of the target, before Jarrod Bowen punished them with a well-taken volley.
The result leaves Arsenal with a slender advantage over Manchester City, as they prepare to face Pep Guardiola's men at the Etihad in 10 days time.
However, on a glum afternoon for supporters, there were plenty of signs to suggest Rice may be on his way to the Emirates next season.
Odegaard signs shirt for Rice
Arsenal have been heavily linked with Rice ever since he confirmed his desire to leave the Hammers, as he aims to pursue his dream of playing in the Champions League.
Manchester United and Chelsea are also though to be keen admirers of the 24-year-old. Although recent reports suggest that the Gunners are the favourite to land his signature.

And in another twist in the transfer saga, Rice was spotted asking for Odegaard's signature in the tunnel after the match, suggesting he is a huge fan of the Norwegian playmaker.
Indeed, the pair may be teammates next season, or at least that's the opinion of Jamie Carragher who implied a deal had already been agreed between the two parties.
When asked about rumours linking Rice with a move to north London, Carragher told Sky Sports: "It might be a little bit more than that."
