''I will kill them '' - Mikel Arteta warns his players against showing any fear vs Man City
Mikel Arteta has warned his Arsenal players he will 'kill them' if they approach Wednesday's title decider at Manchester City with fear.
City are on course for a historic Treble and will take a huge step towards retaining their Premier League title with victory over the Gunners, who are currently top of the table.
Pep Guardiola's side are on a blistering run of form, winning 11 of their previous 12 matches in all competitions.
Arsenal, in contrast, have drawn their last three - conceding seven goals in the process - as their title challenge faltered.
And when asked whether his players may feel intimidated, Arteta responded: '"No. And if they do, I will just say: "I will kill them.' And I don't want that at all.
'It will be a beautiful experience. That is what I want them to take. A beautiful experience where we do what we have to do to win the game.
Belief and psychology plays a huge part. Obviously the belief is there. When I look at how they trained, how they react, the mood in the dressing room, how they've been defending each other in every moment.
'We really want it and we're going to show that again.
'Then you have to deliver in the right moment, the right performance and it has to be perfection because that's what this last level demands - absolute perfection in every single ball.'
Meanwhile, Arteta has confirmed that key defender William Saliba will miss Wednesday's clash as he continues to recover from a lower back problem.
Mail Sport revealed on Tuesday that Arsenal have major concerns over Saliba's lower back injury amid serious 'structural damage' which could result in a long-term lay off if he plays again this season.
