Ederson taunts Arsenal supporters as Haaland nets fourth goal

On Wednesday night, Ederson displayed his unsporting behavior when Erling Haaland scored, indicating that the Manchester City goalkeeper enjoyed the moment.

As far as having a nice relaxing evening goes, Ederson might as well have had his slippers and a face mask on, such was the extent of his work against Arsenal.

City were pretty dominant from the off, in what was considered a Premier League title decider but looked more like a procession.

In fact, the main thing that Ederson had to deal with at the beginning of the game was his own manager having a massive go at him, as the rest of the team were celebrating Kevin de Bruyne's opening goal.

After that, he did have to pick the ball out of the back of the net, after Rob Holding put a plaster over his machete wound of a night by scoring a consolation goal.

Still, the goalkeeper, and his teammates, got the last laugh when Haaland grabbed the final goal, with his luscious locks flowing, and the Brazilian took the moment to mock the fans sat to his right in the away stand.

The 29-year-old insinuated the Gunners' support were crying as the Viking looking Norwegian slotted the ball past Aaron Ramsdale, who might have done better.

Certainly one couldn't have blamed them for shedding a tear or two, as the last vestiges of their Premier League title challenge seem to be slipping away.

Perhaps no one would have expected them to beat City, or even draw with Pep Guardiola's side, but it isn't the dropped points to their rivals that will ultimately do for the north Londoners.

Instead they will look back on a time when they led 2-0 against Liverpool, and looked to be ending a long spell without a win at Anfield.

However, they threw away that two goals lead, and did the same against West Ham United in their next game, before drawing with Southampton last week, to make it three draws in-a-row.

Maybe City had won the game even before kick off on Wednesday, playing the ultimate mind games by putting the Premier League trophy out for the Arsenal fans to see on their way out.

They were soon behind, as Kevin de Bruyne scored the opening goal, as Guardiola switched things up by going through the middle.

John Stones grabbed a second just before half time and then De Bruyne made it 3-0 not long after the break, before Holding grabbed his goal late on.

It was Haaland, Ederson and City who had the last laugh, whilst those who'd travelled the 200 miles up north were left to wipe away their tears.
