Ben Foster Receives Unique Gift from Ryan Reynolds' Hollywood Collection

Although Ryan Reynolds asked for Ben Foster's shirt worn during the match, he ensured to reciprocate the gesture by giving the goalkeeper something as well.

Following Wrexham's 3-1 victory over Boreham Wood at the Racecourse Ground, securing their return to the Football League after a 15-year absence, Ben Foster was in the middle of a press conference when co-owner Ryan Reynolds unexpectedly interrupted.

The Hollywood star immediately asked Foster to give him his green top, yelling "Foster, jersey now".

Furthermore, he also obtained the shirt of Elliot Lee, the goalscorer, as the former West Ham midfielder verified that he was wearing an undershirt.

A member of the media joked that Reynolds was putting the jersey on eBay and he hilariously quipped, "Listen I work in show business, we've fallen on hard times recently."

As evidenced in Foster's remarkable matchday vlog, he and Reynolds had pre-arranged that the retired English footballer would give away his shirt.

As part of their agreement, the ex-Manchester United and Watford player received a unique present from Reynolds. In an unexpected move, the Deadpool actor gifted Foster with the gloves he wore during the production of the Marvel superhero movie.

Reynolds also gifted one of the gloves to Jay Fear, a Wrexham supporter who has terminal appendix cancer and had a wish on his bucket list to meet the Hollywood actor.

Reynolds autographed the glove and additionally arranged for Fear to visit the set of the third movie.

To his great satisfaction, Foster ultimately received the second glove and intends to add it to his remarkable collection of memorabilia.

Speaking on his Fozcast podcast, the 40-year-old explained:

"This is incredible right so, Ryan Reynolds text me the day of the [Boreham Wood] game to say, 'can I have your shirt?'.

"I was like 'yeah cool' and he was like 'cool, because I've got something for you as well'.

"I was like 'what on earth's this?' So anyway he texted me yesterday and said 'I forgot to tell you what it is'.

He says, 'I was going through my memorabilia the other day of Deadpool and I found the original gloves that I wore in the film'.'

Reynolds, who has been playfully hinting at a possible transfer for retired Real Madrid icon Gareth Bale, left a comment on Foster's Instagram post, stating that he would also gift him the Deadpool underwear.

He wrote: "I'm also gifting you the Deadpool underwear. Which, to be fair, smells better than the shirt you gave me."

During the promotion celebrations, Reynolds became enthusiastic when Foster informed him:

"We'll do it again next year," taking it as verbal confirmation.

The 46-year-old replied:

"Yes! Alright, that's a contract. He said 'we'll do it again next year' and that's it - done. You just verbally signed!"

Foster is set to play his eighth game since returning to football against Torquay on Saturday and has enjoyed the return so much that he says he is "genuinely going to have sit down and think about this now" in regards to staying put.

Wrexham, who have amassed 110 points to win the National League title, are set for a huge party celebration in Las Vegas.
