Balotelli recalls how Jose Mourinho kicked him out of team bus over argument
Mario Balotelli has provided insight into a past altercation with Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho from their shared experience at Inter Milan.
Balotelli disclosed that following an argument, Mourinho had expelled him from the team bus, and described the AS Roma player as a challenging individual.
Balotelli is renowned for being one of the most contentious figures in football, having clashed with numerous managers throughout his career, including the iconic strategist, Mourinho.
In an interview with the Muschio Selvaggio podcast, the Sion forward disclosed details about a fiery altercation he had with Mourinho while on an away trip. Balotelli acknowledged that he was subsequently kicked off the team bus due to the disagreement and had to arrange alternative transportation to make his way back home. According to GOAL, the former Italian international stated:
“Mou is not an easy guy to deal with, much like me. One time before a trip to Catania, we had an argument on the bus taking us to the airport. He made me get off the bus, and I had to return home with a car.”
During his time at Inter Milan, Mario Balotelli was coached by the former Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Chelsea boss, and played a total of 71 games.
Across the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons, the former AC Milan player achieved 21 goals and 12 assists under Mourinho's leadership.
Although Mario Balotelli did not perform as well as he should under Jose Mourinho, as a result the coach decided to bench him frequently, particularly in important matches.
Despite feeling frustrated by Mourinho's handling of him, Balotelli cannot overlook the positive influence the Portuguese coach had on his collection of trophies.

He also played a vital role in Mourinho's team that won the 2009-10 Champions League, contributing a goal and an assist in eight games.
During the 2008-09 season, Balotelli scored one goal in the Supercoppa Italiana. In the following season, he played a key role in Inter's Coppa Italia victory, scoring one goal and providing an assist in five games.
