'Whenever he comes on, he does well': Potter defends Gallagher

Graham Potter has shielded Conor Gallagher from criticism after the 2-2 draw against Everton.

The midfielder replaced Pulisic just after the hour's mark, signalling Chelsea's shift to a more defensive formation (from 3-4-3 to 3-5-2). The Englishman did not really contribute offensively or defensively and has received a lot of stick from fans.

"Conor has been unlucky because whenever he has come on, he's done well," Potter said post-match when asked about Conor.

"He'll be frustrated and rightly so, but he's been a fantastic team player."
