'We shouldn't compare ourselves to the best Barcelona in history': Xavi about the demands at Camp Nou

"We set the bar very high a few years ago. But we should compare ourselves to the Barcelona from last season, not to the best Barcelona in history," Xavi has said.

Xavi's team is nowhere near the best versions of Barca we've seen in the last 15 years, we don't play like we did under Pep Guardiola or even Luis Enrique.

At the same time, it is undeniable that we have improved since the coach's arrival at Camp Nou. Barca are currently topping the league and are managing to get the job done despite not always playing their best football and despite key players being out with injuries.
