'We performed very well': Ten Hag pleased with two things after Real Betis win

Speaking about Man United’s narrow 1-0 win in the second leg of the Europa League Round of 16 clash against Real Betis, Erik ten Hag said: “Very pleased. Don't light up the stadium. There was noise at the start because we allowed them some transition moments.

"Be a little bit more calm, we did that in second half. Once you score the first goal the game is gone, they don't have the belief any more.

"I’m Happy but we like challenges, we knew before that this [Betis] was a really good team.

“We’ve seen it before against Madrid and Barcelona, but yeah, we beat them twice so I think we performed very well.”

Apart from his happiness with the win, Ten Hag was also pleased that his side was able to get away from the game without any injuries or suspension. He added: “That's true, yes! No red cards, no injuries!”

Ten Hag will hope United can maintain their momentum and defeat Fulham in the FA Cup on Sunday before the start of the international break.
