'We controlled the game': Ancelotti accesses Real Madrid performance v Liverpool, praises some players

"We controlled the game, and we played according to our plan," Carlo Ancelotti told CBS Sport after the game.

"You can't be 100% sure if we conceded one goal at the beginning of the game, because things would've changed quickly, but after the game, I can say it was not hard as we expected it to be."

Ancelotti then went into singing praises for some of his players.

"Modric and Kroos played very well," Ancelotti said. "They helped us a lot. They controlled the game as we wanted.

"Camavinga likes and feels comfortable with Modrić and Kroos in midfield. Nacho was very good tonight.

"Vinicius is the best player in the world," Ancelotti concluded.

Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0 to win 6-2 on aggregate and qualify for the Champions League quarter-final.
