Liverpool teen sensation Ben Doak COLLAPSES after a sickening clash of heads in the UEFA Youth League

Liverpool youngster Ben Doak sparked worrying scenes in the Reds' latest UEFA Youth League game after collapsing on the pitch.

Doak, 17, fell to the floor after jumping for a header with a Sporting player having initially managing to stay on his feet.

Medics ran onto the field to help the Liverpool man as the referee stopped play.

He eventually made it back to his feet but was substituted immediately.

The incident came just six minutes into the match, in which Rodrigo Ribeiro scored the only goal of the game after 65 minutes.

Doak stumbled a few steps after the challenge before his collapse.

He was attended to by several medics as players from both sides watched on nervously.

It appeared the two players clashed heads as they challenged for the ball in the air, though the Sporting player was unharmed.

Doak remained on the floor receiving treatment for around two minutes.

The Scotland U21 star is one of Liverpool's most highly-rated prospects and has made five appearances for Jurgen Klopp's first team.

He joined the Reds from Celtic last year and is tipped for a big future on Merseyside.

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has faced calls to include Doak in a senior side, but made the decision to leave him out when his latest squad was named on Tuesday.

Doak was however named in the U21 squad by manager Scot Gemmill, who will be anxiously waiting an update on his condition.
