Vinicius: 'I can't be the most fouled player and the one who gets the most yellow cards'

In the match against Espanyol, Vinicius Junior received his 8th yellow card of the league season and 12th total this term. After the match, the winger commented on the refereeing.

"I don't want the referees to protect me but I want them to do the correct thing. This always happens to Real Madrid and to me. I can't be the most fouled player and the one who receives the most yellow cards," Vinicius said.

"They book me after the very first foul I make. I tried to have a cool head so that I can happen my friends."

Vini saw the yellow card after a very light offence against Espanyol. At times, the Brazilian gets booked for his protests, though, and at least that is something he can control.

Only Alex Baena (9) has received more yellow cards than Vinicius in La Liga this term.
