'The traitors of Judas took him away from me': Dani Alves' mother reacts to accusation of sexual assault

Dani Alves is still in custody in Barcelona while he waits for the conclusion of legal proceedings against him for sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman in a nightclub bathroom. The investigation process will be closed after the analysis of the victim's psychological examination.

However, amidst the chaos involving Dani Alves' wife, his mother, Lucia Alves, has taken to Instagram to express her support for her son. She posted several stories on her social media accounts, citing his innocence after he was sent to prison:

"My family is my life, I love them to infinity," Lucia Alves posted.

"I know that my son is in prison, but I love him, it is beyond anyone what God has united, no one can separate us.

"I know that my son bothered people so much that the Judas traitors took him away from me, but my faith in God cannot be taken away, I remain strong."

In her latest post, the Brazilian footballer's mother shared 'Daniel 6:27' which is a bible verse which states the following:

"His dominion has no end. He is the one who delivers and rescues, who works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions".
