Ten Hag: ‘Casemiro played 500 games in Europe and never got a red card. He now has 2 in Premier League'

Erik ten Hag believes the inconsistent refereeing affected Man United’s 0-0 draw against Southampton.

After the game, he spoke on the result and Casemiro’s red card – telling Sky Sports: “Big compliments to the team. They showed big character to play so long with 10. They were physically and mentally strong to get a point.

“Casemiro played over 500 games in Europe and never once got a red card. Now he has two in the Premier League. His absence is not the issue. We will deal with that. This game was influenced by the referee”

Ten Hag appears to be disappointed to draw a game United could’ve easily won, but should be proud about how his team performed after going down to 10 men.

Casemiro, however, will now miss the next four domestic games after getting his second red card.
