'Some players are at their limits': Xavi says rotations are needed to avoid injuries

 

"We work a lot on the physical aspect. There are some players whose numbers are in the red, they are at their limit. We want to limit injuries, we need to have everything under control so that the players perform at their best," Xavi said ahead of the game against Valencia.

Despite this, the Barcelona coach said that he doesn't plan mass rotations against Los Che.

"For us, the match against Valencia is a final. If we win, we will put more pressure on Real Madrid."

Xavi has been rotating more in recent weeks, though. And it was the rotations that cost us the tie against Manchester United and the three points against Almeria.

At the same time, it's clear that the changes are needed since Barca have three players -- Ousmane Dembele, Robert Lewandowski, and Pedri -- out with muscle injuries.
