Sheikh Jassim's representatives hold 10 hour-long talks with United officials
The Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani’s representatives held a 10-hour-long meeting with Man United officials and Raine Group members on Thursday, claims the Daily Mail.
The talks were cordial, extensive and positive. Much of the meetings were based on the financial picture of the club.
Moreover, United’s officials also presented Powerpoint presentations on how the club operates on the business side. In terms of the football bit, the Red Devils’ style of recruiting players was prioritized.
Sheikh Jassim is reportedly pleased with how the meeting went and is now expected to make a second offer to take over the club.
Al Thani has a 10-day deadline to do so, as it remains to be seen if he’s willing to match the Glazers' £6bn valuation of the club.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be the second potential buyer to have meetings with United officials on Friday, 17 March.
