Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim given '10-day deadline' for second United bid - what it means and future plans explained

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as well as other bidders, have been told that they have a 10-day deadline to make a second offer to buy Man United – as per the Daily Mail.

This comes as the Qatari Sheikh is set to send his representatives to have a meeting with United’s representatives on Thursday. Sir Jim will travel to Old Trafford on Friday for a similar meeting.

The Raine Group – who are handling the sale process - have made it clear that bidders have a chance to submit their best-possible offers in the next 10 days.

After that, the group will consult the Glazers on the biggest financial offers and choose the bidder offering the most lucrative deal.

That bidder will then be given full access to United’s financial accounts and could undergo final negotiations to take over the club from the Glazers.

If things move quickly, United could have new owners before the end of the season and in time for the summer transfer window.
