Rashford overtakes Ronaldo to set impressive European goal record for Man United

Marcus Rashford scored a stunning winner for Man United in their 1-0 win over Real Betis in the second leg of the Europa League Round of 16 clash on Thursday.

He missed a few chances, but then delivered an absolutely smashing strike to book a place for his side into the quarter-finals.

In doing so, Rashford scored his 25th goal in European competitions for United. He also becomes the youngest player in the club’s history to reach 25 European goals at the age of 25 years, 136 days.

The Englishman has also overtaken Cristiano Ronaldo to become United’s sixth top scorer in European competitions.

Rashford has scored six goals in the Europa League this season and his strike on Thursday was his 27th goal in all competitions this season.
