Raphinha 9, Kounde 3: rating Barca players in Valencia win

Raphinha - 9

Raphinha scored a great header today and was useful throughout the match, especially in possession as he registered 4 key passes. The Brazilian also worked well defensively when Valencia started pushing higher.

Sergio Busquets - 7.5

The Barcelona veteran registered a marvellous assist tonight, spotting Raphinha's run into the box and finding him with an incredible long ball. As always, Busquets had a commanding presence on the ball (92% passing accuracy) and contributed to the defence too.

Ansu Fati - 5.5

Another poor outing for Fati tonight. The winger offered next to nothing in terms of pressing. Ansu had his chances to score but his headings abilities were poor and he could not convert a good pass into the box, hitting the post instead.

Ferran Torres - 5

The forward was great in the first half as he opened spaces through his runs and combined well with the wingers and midfielders. After the break, though, he was disastrous -- the penalty miss and the poor defensive work overwrote everything he showed initially.

Jules Kounde - 3

It was surprising to see Kounde play this badly after his mesmerising performance at Santiago Bernabeu.

He simply isn't that good at right-back, it appears. The defender lost the ball 19 times, won just 2/6 duels and didn't offer anything going forward. And above all, his poor backward pass resulted in Araujo getting sent off in a desperate attempt to stop Duro.

Others: Ter Stegen 7, Araujo 7.5, Christensen 7, Balde 8, Roberto 6.5, De Jong 7.5, Kessie 6.5, Alonso 6, Garcia 6, Alarcon n/a.
