OFFICIAL: James Milner awarded MBE for his service to football and charity
James Miner has now officially been awarded his MBE for his services to football and charities
Prince William bestowed the honour on Milner at Windsor Castle following a private investiture ceremony.
The Liverpool midfielder was spotted sharing a joke with the Prince.
Joining the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) is one of the greatest honours anyone can attain in Britain.
Milner signed for Liverpool in 2015 as a free agent. Since then, the ageless midfielder has gone on to win the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Super Cup as a Red.
The 37-year-old will become a free agent once again at the end of the season. It remains to be seen if Liverpool would keep him for one more year.
