Mikel Arteta handed major injury boost as Arsenal star's return date revealed
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been handed a major injury boost after the return date for one of his key players was revealed.
The Gunners remain top of the Premier League table and keeping players fit is essential if they are to go on a clinch the title.
Arteta's side came from two goals down to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday thanks to a 97th- minute winner from Reiss Nelson.
It has sent the fans into a frenzy as the end of the season draws closer but one player was forced off injured after 22 minutes putting a dampener on celebrations.
Forward Leandro Trossard pulled up when tracking back after a corner but initial assessments show that it's not as worse as first feared, according to the Evening Standard.
Boost for Arsenal's title push
The news that Trossard could be back after the international break in two weeks' time will be a major boost for Arteta and to the Gunners' title hopes.
He arrived from Brighton in January for £27m and has hit the ground running and scored a crucial goal in the Gunners' draw against Brentford last month.
As the run-in begins Arsenal will need all the bodies they can get and whilst Arteta has been reluctant to rotate in the league at times this season, he no longer has a choice.
With Eddie Nketiah also still missing Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson will be competing for a place in the starting eleven.
Both came off the bench in the win and with Arsenal also facing Sporting in the Europa League this week it's likely they will both feature in the next few fixtures.
Whilst there's damage to his groin they will be hoping the fact he was taken off early will prevent any serious harm.
