'Mason is 21, he is cleared': Greenwood's representative speaks up amid tough decision for United
Mason Greenwood is unbothered about chants from opposition fans in Man United games about his past accusations of domestic violence, as per The Athletic.
Some Newcastle United fans reportedly sang about the Englishman in the Carabao Cup final, even after the charges against him were dropped.
Greenwood’s representative has opened up about his thoughts on this and told The Athletic: “There’s no real substance to any of this, it being a mix of old news, speculation, half-truths and completely untrue claims. Mason is 21, he has been cleared and should be allowed the opportunity to rebuild and move forward with his young life.”
Despite seeing all charges dropped against him, Greenwood remains suspended at Man United – who are currently holding their own internal investigations over the accusations made against him last year.
He is still being paid by the Red Devils and has not played a single game or even trained with the first team in over a year.
