Liverpool teenager Stefan Bajcetic reveals why he ignored Man United to sign for the Reds
When Stefan Bajcetic's talent was spotted at Celta Vigo, many English teams immediately showed interest in signing the rising star. One of those clubs was Manchester United.
Everything changed when Liverpool joined the race to sign the 16-year-old.
"Yes, when I heard that Liverpool wanted to sign me, there was nobody else to decide on. This was the only one,” Bajcetic was quoted by Mirror.
But the midfielder would not be drawn into discussing the rival between Liverpool and Man United who face each other in the Premier League
“It’s the English ‘Clasico’, no? It’s a massive game,” Bajcetic said. “I’m at Liverpool now, I’m just focusing on that and I don’t want to talk about other clubs,”
Bajcetic was named Liverpool Player of the Month for January after a string of impressive performances.
Liverpool signed the teenage midfielder in January 2021 from Celta Vigo for an undisclosed fee.
