Lip readers suggest referee told Militao that Vinicius foul on De Jong was a red - did Munuera really say that?

A video is doing rounds on Twitter in which Manuel Munuera is explaining to Eder Militao why he sanctioned Vinicius Junior with a yellow card but not Frenkie de Jong after the winger's wrestling move against the Barcelona midfielder.

According to Movistar+, the ones who uploaded the original video, the referee told Militao that it was "a red [card]". However, other sources have indicated that those weren't Munuera's actual words.

Lip readers suggest referee told Militao that Vinicius foul on De Jong was a red - did Munuera really say that?

Movistar+ original captions reading: "Eder, it's a red [card], do you agree?"

Diario Sport, Diario AS and Marca all agree that the actual words were "le coge [he grabbed him]" and not "es roja [it's a red]. So, what Munuera actually told Militao was: "Eder, listen to me, he grabbed him, do you agree? He grabbed him by the neck and pushed him to the ground."

Movistar+ deleted the clip shortly after.

At the same time, Diario Sport add that grabbing an opponent by the neck and pushing him to the ground is an offence that, by the rules, should result in a sending off. Thus, Munuera indirectly confirmed that Vini should've seen a red card after all.
