Justice for Vini: Punishment for Mallorca fan who racially abused Madrid star revealed
The Mallorca fan who racially abused Vinicius Jr during their clash with Real Madrid earlier this month has been identified.
The fan has been punished with a fine of €4,000 for his awful actions.
Moreover, they’ve also received a stadium ban for 12 months – meaning they can’t attend matches in Spain for the next year.
The Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports have dished out the punishment after their investigations.
They said in a statement: "A fine of 4,000 euros, and prohibition of access to sports venues for a period of 12 months, to an individual who was identified as the author of the racist insults made against the Real Madrid player VinÃcius Junior in the RCD Malllorca - Real Madrid CF match, held on February 5."
Vinicius has ben the victim of rampant racial abuse in La Liga games and it appears that the league is finally stepping up to protect him.
The Brazilian has been in impressive form in the league this season so far, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 22 appearances.
