Jurgen Klopp says there are 'five million' reasons why he wants to beat Man United
Liverpool are up against Manchester United in what is the biggest Premier League of the weekend. It's also a game Jurgen Klopp can't stop dreaming of winning.
“Football is the most important thing for these 95, 98 minutes. The whole world will watch it, I will watch it," the Liverpool gaffer said in his press conference.
"I want to win so I don’t have to look in your faces after a defeat, but on top of that there are five million reasons I want to win this,” Klopp says.
The German manager hinted that one of his motivations to beat Man United besides the rivalry is that Liverpool would come within three points of the top four.
“We can cut it down to three points," Klopp said.
"But that is pretty much the only normal stuff, like in other games, if it was just three points then that is the moment it becomes Liverpool v Man Utd, who? That would be really difficult, that would be really sad.”
Liverpool have improved their form in the Premier League after winning three of their last four games. They've also kept a clean sheet in those four games.
