John Aldridge wipes Wout Weghorst's fingerprints from THIS IS ANFIELD sign
Historic 'This Is Anfield' sign will remain pure from now on after being touched by a Manchester United player.
Liverpool icon John Aldridge made sure of that after visiting Anfield for a charity event earlier this week, sharing the news on Twitter.
The former striker wrote alongside a photo of himself wiping the legendary sign: "Just getting rid of Weghorst's fingerprints, folks! They don't belong here."
Man United forward Wout Weghosrt touched the sign before the game on Sunday, later claiming that that he did so to 'wind up' his Netherlands teammate Virgil van Dijk.
