'It’s something we’re working on': Rashford sets new goals target as he refuses to settle for current tally
“I think I’m taking a lot more of the opportunities that come,” Marcus Rashford told Football Daily as they discussed his goalscoring record this season.
“I still think I can get in more goalscoring positions and it’s something that we’re working on and will continue to work on for the period of time that we’re together.
“I’m still very much looking ahead rather than what I’ve done so far so hopefully I can keep adding that now. When we set as a team, the individual targets sort of just follow that.
“I think for any forward, you want to get to 20 goals in a season and then you just kick on from there and score as many as you can.”
Rashford already has 14 goals to his name in the Premier League, so reaching the 20-goal benchmark is certainly achievable this season.
United will certainly hope that this is a permanent surge, not a temporary blip as Rashford is hitting the last year of his contract next summer.
