'It's a really tough question': Kaka gives honest verdict on the Messi-Ronaldo debate
At the unveiling of the new adidas World Cup ball Al Hilm Kaka was asked if Messi's win at the World Cup would end the debate about the greatest player in football.
"Oh wow, this question is really hard to answer. I played with Cristiano for four years and for me, he is of course one of the best. But seeing him every day playing and doing what he can do, it's really amazing."
"And I think his tears yesterday, it's our tears, the tears that those who love football and can imagine that probably he's not going to be in the next World Cup. We don't know, he's always surprising us, but I think the tendency is that he's not going to be there again."
"And also we have this privilege to see Leo playing and performing in a very, very good way in a World Cup. So maybe it's the cherry on the cake in an amazing career to win the World Cup and to be the protagonist of the World Cup."
"So I just can say that for me, as someone that really loves this game, it's a privilege that I have to watch these guys playing and give us so much joy on the field. So I don't know what's going to happen, but I'm really enjoying these guys."
