'It's important to win the next fixture': Rashford reacts to Real Betis win

Speaking after Man United’s 4-1 win over Real Betis in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 16 clash, Marcus Rashford told BT Sport: “It's always important to win the next fixture (after a loss), and yeah, It's the only for us [team] to bounce back and continue the momentum that we had before that [Liverpool] game.

“So yeah, I'm pleased to win that game and it's put us in a good way for the tie. We always try to start quick and a goal helps that, but yeah I thought that we defended the box quite well in the first half, In the second half it opened up a bit more, as expected with the game being 1-1.

“But like I said, I'm pleased that we can win a game and start the tie in the right way. I think we started well in both halves, and It's always important to try and score the goals and in the end that's the difference.”

Rashford scored his 26th goal of the season with an amazing strike to put his side in the lead – as he seems to have rediscovered his goal-scoring aura after that Liverpool game as well.
