'I'm very angry with the club': Fati's father speaks out against son's treatment at Barca, tells Ansu to leave
Bori Fati the father of Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has let rip at the club for what he perceives as poor treatment of his son.
"Ansu wants to continue at Barca. I, as a father, think otherwise," Bori Fati tells Cope.
"Ansu deserves much more, we're talking about Barcelona's '10'
"I'm angry, it's true. As a father, I see Ansu play very little and it upsets me, but I think as a father, not as a coach.
"Physically Ansu is very fit. Now he has more speed and is more explosive than before. Because when he has confidence, he has more speed.
"I have my box at the Spotify Camp Nou, but I'm not going anymore, I'm very angry.
"I have recommended to Ansu a change of scenery but he doesn't agree. Ansu is not angry with Xavi, he sees him as his idol.
"But in a month we will meet with Jorge Mendes, for sure," Bori Fati added.
On whether Ansu will play at Barca next season, Bori Fati said: "For Ansu yes. It will depend on what Barca wants. If it's for me, I want to see Ansu succeed, because he is a guy who comes to succeed. There are things you can't discuss."
This looks every bit like the Barca-Moriba saga all over again. However, in this case, Barca have stood by Ansu for two years as he struggled with injuries.
