In one of his recent interviews with Placar, former Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has recalled his time at Camp Nou.
Looking back, El Pistolero feels that the famous MSN trio could've achieved even greater success, had it lasted longer.
In 450 games played together, the Messi-Neymar-Suarez trio bagged an impressive tally of 364 goals averaging 0.81 goals per game. They also registered 171 assists during this period. The era came to an end when Neymar left for PSG.
"I didn’t really like to talk about it [the rumours of Neymar leaving], but there came a time when it had turned into quite a big deal, so we went to talk with him and said: ‘Ney, if you want to win everything, stay here with us. England is better. [Manchester] City, that kind of football is better, it’s more suited to you. But France...?"
"If only Neymar had stayed at Barcelona, he would have won the Ballon d’Or for sure", the Uruguayan stated.
