Hamann tells Liverpool and Klopp to part ways: 'Best for both sides'

“I feel like he’s telling himself he can turn it around,” Didi Hamann told Sky Sports about Jurgen Klopp. “That assumes they bring players in.

“If they don’t bring players in, then I can’t see him staying because I can’t imagine him staying if he doesn’t have a remote chance of playing for a title. The competition is huge.

“I think it would be best for both sides if they make a cut in the summer.

“The team has been falling apart in the last few months. For a coach who’s been around that long, I think it’s almost impossible to pull off.”

Klopp has frequently spoken about enjoying the challenge of managing Liverpool after the previous season, when the Reds came extremely close to a quadruple.

However, results have been poor, with Liverpool out of all cup competitions and sixth in the Premier League table.

But there is obviously no talk of Klopp leaving Anfield, with the fans and the board fully backing the German.
