Fans divided on who the GOAT manager is between Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger
Football lovers are split up on who between Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger was the better Premier League manager.
The two celebrated managers monopolized the English top flight for years, with each of them leading their respective clubs to tremendous altitudes.
Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have both been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame in recognition of their achievements while in charge of Manchester United and Arsenal, respectively.
Ferguson has been recognised after winning a record 13 Premier League titles during his illustrious long spell at Manchester United. He also won the Manager of the Season on 11 occasions, with the last of those coming in his final year at the club in 2012/13.
Wenger, meanwhile, transformed Arsenal as a club, instilling previously-unseen professionalism among players and cultivating a silky style of football.
Advocates of Wenger point to the way he revolutionised English football in terms of foreign signings, diet, nutrition and training. While it seems going through a season unbeaten is such a rarity it earned the side their title - The Invincibles.
He also won two other titles with Arsenal, which weren’t as good as they lost some games and didn’t earn their nickname. Ferguson, meanwhile, chose David Moyes as his successor, so there’s that.
As per Premier League, Fergie clasps the Premier League records for the vastly wins (410), the most points won (1,752), and the most honours for Manager of the Month (27) and Manager of the Season (11).
On his part, Wenger also basked his fair percentage of accomplishments with the Gunners during his 20-year supremacy with Arsenal.
Conceivably the greatly extraordinary one is his record with The Invincibles in 2004 when he piloted his side to a tremendous Premier League unbeaten run the entire season.
Below are reactions from fans on the debate:
If moneys not an issue for transfers id say fergie but wenger was brillant at finding that gem and developing them. Cant really remember fergie doing that as much. They just went and spent what they wanted. Can only think of ronaldo really.

No contest Fergie. Best manager to have lived in last 40 years by a long mile. #pusb

Sir Alex and it's not even close. Arguably Wenger is no longer in the top 3 of all time PL managers now.

Wenger... Given the same resources Utd had he would have dwarfed Sir Alex achievements yet Sir Alex would have struggled to get into Europe with the resources Wenger had at Arsenal.

A lot of people haven’t read this properly (in their PRIME), not career. It’s certainly close. The Invincibles vs The Treble Winners is the debate

I’d pick Wenger, because of him so many teams play the way they do. He revolutionised the way football is played in the prem

In their prime one did wonders at the biggest club in the world, the other did the impossible

Fergy was fortunate to have managed in the late 80s when managers got given time, even when under performing.

But either way, Fergie, every day & twice on a Sunday
Which one won the most? Which one has a European title? Which one has 2 European titles? Which one has the only treble in Prem history? There’s no comparison one did things the other never even got close to achieving.

Even as Spurs fan it has to be AW. He changed the whole ethos of football management & there is a reason he is known as 'The Professor'

None, fergie only got good because united kept buying star players from the league, like what bayerns doing...with more clubs having better financials...he'll struggle in this current league
