Erling Haaland is loving life in England and the competitiveness of the Premier League after his goal helped Manchester City clinch a valuable three points away to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Norwegian goal-getter bagged his 28th league strike of the season from the penalty spot against Patrick Vieira's misfiring Palace after Ilkay Gundogan was initially clattered by Michael Olise in the box.
His strike was the difference at Selhurst Park, with victory seeing City reduce the gap to Premier League leaders Arsenal to just two points, piling the pressure on Mikel Arteta's side ahead of their meeting with Fulham on Sunday.
A beaming Haaland admitted he 'enjoys' being in the epic title race with the Gunners during his first season in English football.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Haaland said: 'I enjoy it, this is England, this is what I've been watching my whole life, I enjoy every single second being in it. It's good to be in the middle of it.
'In the end another three points, to win games and keep performing is not easy. We saw Bournemouth beat Liverpool. Every game is a fight.
'Every single game, Leipzig is the next game and then it's Burnley. We have to win games.
'We have to focus on ourselves because we have them at home, we have a lot of games left, so nothing is decided yet.
The 22-year-old effortlessly converted his spot kick by sending Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita the wrong way and rolling his shot coolly into the bottom corner as travelling City supporters let out a huge sigh of relief.
It was as if the goal was never in doubt as Haaland stood patiently with the ball in his arms and opposition players protested - unlike Mohamed Salah's missed effort in the afternoon's early kick-off - highlighting his maturity in pressure-cooker situations at such a relatively young age.
That winners mentality has caught the eye of former Liverpool and England striker Daniel Sturridge, who speaking on Sky Sports raved that Haaland 'makes chances look like food and drink' and has 'zero fear' in front of goal.
'I think his mentality is his strongest trait. He's so confident, when he misses a chance it affects him for maybe two or three seconds and he's like I'll get another one and he'll put that away' said Sturridge.
'He makes chances look like food and drink, he makes it look so easy. He does miss chances but that's part and parcel of being a striker.
'With Man City and how much they have possession, he knows he will get chances. He can't get frustrated.
'Pep [Guardiola] knows where he wants Haaland to be. He's continuing to put himself in positions to score. He has zero fear. He's so confident, sure of himself.'
