Cristiano Ronaldo still tops one key Europa League stat despite Man United exit

Despite leaving Man United in November, Cristiano Ronaldo has still taken more shots (30) than any other player in the Europa League.

The Portuguese scored twice and assisted two other goals in six appearances in the competition. However, with four strikes, Marcus Rashford is the joint-highest scorer alongside Braga’s Vitinha, Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder and Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez.

Bruno Fernandes leads the rankings for passes into the penalty area (15) and shot-creating actions (45) and is one of only three Reds to have played in every one of our Europa League games under Erik ten Hag, along with David De Gea and Casemiro.

Casemiro leads the tournament for blocks, having made 19 so far – two more than Jannik Haberer, who plays for Union Berlin.

Another United summer signing, Lisandro Martinez, scores highly in several metrics, including dribblers tackled – the Argentina has stopped 13 players in their tracks, which puts him level with Ibrahim Sangare (PSV Eindhoven) and Amadou Dante (Sturm Graz).
