Court 'rejects Barca's appeal', Gavi to be un-registered from senior team

Mundo Deportivo report that the court has "rejected Barcelona's appeal" regarding the decision to un-register Gavi from the first team.

It is thus confirmed that the club sent the documentation too late to register Gavi. The 18-year-old is now back under his old contract as a Barca Atletic player which is set to expire at the end of the season. He'll be back to playing with no.30 on his back.

Barca will try to register the midfielder next summer. However, they need to lower the wage bill first.

Gavi has been a key player for Barca despite his age, recording 2 goals and 5 assists in 37 matches (29 starts).
