Chelsea remain interested in Josko Gvardiol — Koulibaly and Badiashile could be key to the deal

Chelsea's interest in signing Josko Gvardiol this summer has not disappeared, according to The Athletic.

31-year-old Kalidou Koulibaly has struggled in his maiden season at Stamford Bridge, meaning that a move 'cannot be discounted'.

However, there is one key factor working against the deal: Benoit Badiashile. The Blues could be reluctant to stunt the 21-year-old's development.

Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on Gvardiol who's likely to leave RB Leipzig despite only recently putting pen to paper on a new contract.
