Chelsea board 'split' on Potter's future, Boehly among most supportive voices

According to the Daily Mail, the Chelsea board of directors is split over the future of Graham Potter.

'Certain figures' at the club need convincing that the current head coach has the authority to turn the fortunes around after a disastrous spell since the start of the year.

At the same time, the face of the current Chelsea ownership Todd Boehly is understood to be among the most supportive of Potter behind the scenes.

The American reportedly believes that a second managerial change of the season would set the team's development back. He also acknowledges the difficulties created by the bloated squad.

Even so, the Leeds game this weekend could well be the breaking point. Should Chelsea fail to win on Saturday, their winless streak would reach seven matches.
