As per The Telegraph, Chelsea are holding talks over the rebuild of their stadium with the owners hoping for the new stadium to be on of the best in Europe.
The possible move-in date is being seen as 2030 at the earliest. The demolition of Stamford Bridge and a rebuild on the same site is looking to eb the likeliest option.
Chelsea board member Jonathan Goldstein is in-charge of the project along with Janet Marie Smith. They are holding talks with Chelsea Pitch Owners [CPO] to be able to buy a £50 million plot of land to add to the existing area.
This are will add space for the proposed fan parks and offices while also making room for the new stadium that would hold at least 55,000 spectators.
It is unlikely that remodelling of the existing Stamford Bridge would be possible due to a lack of space in the area, which is why a complete rebuild looks to be the probable way forward.
