Bruno - 9, De Gea - 4.5: Rating Man United stars in Real Betis thrashing

Bruno Fernandes – 9

After being widely panned for his Liverpool performance, Captain Bruno silences his doubters with a clinical performance. Ran the show from his natural no.10 role, playing a big role in helping Rashford’s opener. Then also set up Antony’s strike and scored a brilliant header. Looked determined, vibrant and tormented Betis with his final delivery.

Marcus Rashford – 8

Rashford moved in electric fashion through the left-wing and scored a brilliant opener, absolutely bursting a shot past Bravo. Made a few brilliant runs and could’ve even had an assist for better finishing. Looks back in form after the Anfield blip.

Antony – 7.5

Could’ve had a hattrick on another day, but Antony thrilled Old Trafford with an exciting display. His movement were slick and he also created some big chances. Scored an Arjen Robben-esque goal to give United the lead in the second half. Got a few more chances, but bit unlucky not to score really.

Lisandro Martinez – 7.5

Licha was back to his dominant self and proved why that Liverpool performance was a rare bad one.  Completely neutralized the majority of Betis’ attacks and looked so comfortable at the back – winning 4/4 duels, making 3 clearances and 3 tackles too.

Wout Weghorst – 6.5

Weghorst was extremely frustrating in the first half, missing a few chances and just being sloppy in the final third. Got better as the game went on and finally got his Old Trafford goal after a lot of hard work – with a nice poacher’s finish to make it 4-1.

David de Gea – 4.5

Bit of a rare bad performance for De Gea at Old Trafford this season. His positioning was off for Betis’ equalizer and his passing was shockingly bad, as he gave away he ball often and raised pressure on his side. Didn’t have much to do in second half when his side got control of the game and put the visitors to the sword.
