'Better than Antony’: fans give verdict on Pellistri after first full game with Man United

Facundo Pellistri played an entire game for Man United for the first time in his career in the 1-0 win over Real Betis.

The Uruguayan winger showed sparks in his game with some delightful forward runs. But he was a bit sloppy and seemed to struggle to deal physically with the opposition players.

Irrespective of what, Pellistri is likely to get more minutes after this showing as he tries to carve a place for himself in the first-team squad.

United fans have had mixed reactions to his first full game, as they reacted on Twitter.

Prof: “He needs a run of games (not full 90s or starting games per se, just 30-40 mins there) to get his confidence up and sharpen his decisiveness. He looked bright today from the first minute. Everytime I see him on the ball, he reminds me of Messi stylistically. He has it in him.”

HamzahAmin: “Better than Antony he’s more direct doesn’t hold the ball too long and not afraid to take players if he has to.”

August: “Should be getting 20-30 minutes more often, arguably our best performing RW currently.”

Cantona’s Collar: “Facundo Pellistri is the future of Manchester United and I don't say that lightly.”

MO: “With Pellistri I think it was more lack of experience than tiredness. He overworked himself and looked lost from time to time. There were good moments and I honestly believe he has a higher ceiling than Jadon Sancho (I love Sancho btw)”
