Benzema a doubt for Real Madrid's Champions League clash with Liverpool

As per the Evening Standard, Karim Benzema is a doubt for Real Madrid's game against Liverpool in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

The French forward missed Real's game against Espanyol in La Liga over the weekend due to an ankle injury.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti will have to make a decision on whether to risk playing him against Liverpool with a match against Barcelona next Sunday.

Rodrygo will be expected to lead the line for Real should Benzema miss out, while David Alaba and Ferland Mendy are also out of contention for the clash.

Meanwhile Liverpool are expected to be without Joe Gomez, Luis Diaz and Thiago, who are all not back in full training yet.
