Antony fails to keep promise to Casemiro after red card v Southampton

Antony 'pledged' to help Casemiro secure three points for Man United against Southampton after his countryman was sent off in the game.

Casemiro was shown a straight red card following a VAR review after just 34 minutes. Antony was seen consoling the midfielder.

But before Casemiro made his way to the dressing room, the 23-year-old forward grabbed him by the shoulder, pointed at his chest and appeared to have said: "I will win this game for you."

However, Antony failed to keep his promise despite creating two chances, firing one shot on target and winning four of his duels before being substituted.

Casemiro will consequently miss four games. United travel to Spain on Thursday to face Real Betis in the Europa League.
