Barcelona have beaten Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu despite not playing their best game, especially in attack. Commenting on the outcome of the match, three Madrid figures went on to call the Catalans lucky.
Thibaut Courtois: "We have dominated the game. They played rather defensively. We conceded an unlucky goal. They won without deserving it."
Luka Modric: "We created enough to score a goal but we couldn't do it while they scored a very unfortunate goal. We were better, I believe we can overturn the tie."
Carlo Ancelotti: "Barca didn't deserve to win. This has been one of our best games in terms of high pressing. We have to play the same way at Camp Nou."
Madrid are clearly unhappy to have been given a taste of their own medicine. However, there's clearly not much for Barca to be happy about except for the result and solid defence. Everything else was not even nearly good enough.
The tie will be decided on April 5 at Camp Nou.
