'Abramovich would have sacked Potter months ago': Hasselbaink shares theory on why Boehly sticks with Englishman
After three wins on a bounce, the pressure on Graham Potter appears to have faded somewhat, although the results this season are still very below-par.
Chelsea are tenth in the league table and don't really have a standing chance of qualifying to the Champions League through the Premier League.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Roman Abramovich would have already pulled the trigger on Potter but Todd Boehly has invested into the Englishman.
"I think the owners are having a project and Potter is a big part of it," Hasselbaink said on Sky Sports.
"Maybe with the other owner [Abramovich] it [sacking Potter] would have been months before but I don’t think with these owners. They believe in Potter and they want this to go for a long time."
