Yeah this club is well and truly finished: Liverpool fans worried as departing sporting director on cusp of Ajax move

Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward is the 'leading candidate' to take up a similar position at Ajax, Dutch journalist Mike Verweij reports.

Ward replaced Michael Edwards in charge of Liverpool's transfer dealings last summer but has already announced he would part ways with the Reds after the end of this season.

Leaving Liverpool for a smaller club like Ajax looks odd and some Reds faithful on Twitter are suspicious of the move.
