'We are not saying goodbye': Ancelotti insists Real Madrid still in title race despite Atletico upset
Atletico Madrid have held Real Madrid down to a 1-1 draw at Santiago Bernabeu, giving Barcelona a chance to go 10 points clear at the top of the table if they beat Almeria on Sunday.
Despite these circumstances, Carlo Ancelotti insisted after the game that Madrid are still candidates for the title.
"It is more difficult now but it is not a goodbye, we have to fight until the end and see what happens," the coach said.
"It will be very complicated, but it was already like that before this game, and now even more so. We have to fight until the last match and the last minute of La Liga.
"Copa del Rey is more important? It is more important because it is the next game and because we have the chance to reach a final."
Barca have been the dominant force in La Liga this season as they've won the Supercopa de Espana and now have the chance to go 10 points clear of Madrid. They can also reach the cup final but need to beat Real Madrid in the semi-finals first.
